A Busy Week...

It is so wonderful that people are getting married and having birthdays. It gives those of us who love to create a chance to share our passions and hopefully show others just how much we appreciate them.

Part 1:

This week has been one of those excitingly challenging experiences. Jim was working on a gift for a wedding while I accepted the challenge of trying to match the invitation with our card and the gift wrappings. The invitation was on black with beautiful, bright sunflowers. My first challenge was finding black gift wrap. You would think with Halloween next week, no problem. After exhaustingly searching several card shops, I decided to go to my favorite paper store, USArtQuest. What I found was something called Lava Paper. (Great stuff!)

Then, after a making an unrecognizable sunflower, I decided to try Asters. Much happier!

Meanwhile, Jim finished the gift and helped wrap his project while I assembled the card.

Part 2:

This afternoon I worked on a card for a beautiful lady friend. Sure hope she likes roses.

This was die cut from Heartfelt Creations’ Vintage Floret. I used a light pink Foamiran and accented the edges with Mementos’ Rhubarb Stalk.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you will return again. Have a few ideas that I might want to share.

Till then,

God Bless You and Yours.
