Sorry for not posting in awhile but I am rather on the busy card-making side. For the next few months, I will be working on a project for an upcoming October wedding. The bride asked if I had time to create 150 thank you note cards. I really felt honored and hope I can fulfill her request. The picture above is my first weeks progress plus 3 more which did not make the picture.
For the last six months, I have had a "wire-loop recorder" just under the skin of my left breast. It is an internal heart monitor. This Thursday it will be removed, or at least hope it will. Monday I started with a sore throat which has developed into laryngitis. I sound like a "sick bullfrog."
Anyway, for this project, I have been selecting open stamp designs, stamping with Memento Tuxedo Black, and embossing with either a clear or black embossing powder. Then I used the Chameleon Pens to add the coloration. I really love to do layering and try to match the layers with the design colors.
My husband has been in the furniture creating mood and I have a unique new art desk. Behind the two doors, he designed space for various sized canvases. Thought I would share his "master" piece with you.
Well, I need to get back to the cards. I do hope you have a fantastic week and have time to create your own artwork.
God Bless ...

It is always a difficult time for families when a loved one passes on. We all somewhat feel their sorrow and hope we can convey our caring for our friends. I have trouble finding the right words. Sometimes, it is just a hug.
Blessed are those who mourn, For they shall be comforted. ... Matthew 5:4 (NKJV)
Today’s card is for a lovely lady whose mother-in-law passed this past weekend.
Wanting something delicate, I selected a stamp set from Hot Off The Press. I used Memento Tuxedo Black to stamp the image and sentiment on Crystal pearlescent paper. Then I applied a Black, Fine Detail Embossing Powder and heat set.
For the flowers and leaves, I used Chameleon Pens, Bubble Gum (pink), Warm Sunset, and Green Apple.
Thank you for stopping by today. Hope you will join me again soon.
