Pen and/or Pencil...That is the Question...

Welcome to my little corner of the net.

Today, I would like to show you something a little different than my usual cards. I have always been impressed with the wonderful designs of the Art Nouveau era. During the 1980s, Rebecca McKillip publshed a book entitled Art Nouveau - Abstract Designs. It is filled with exciting patterns and a little blend of what I consider to be a Celtic-Nouveau. It has become one of my favorites from that time.

Yesterday morning, I sat down with the one of her patterns and decided to play with my Chameleon Pens. I selected only three colors, Sky Blue (BL3), Olive Green (OL3) and Mellow Yellow (YO2).

This was so much fun that I decided to attack another project. Not long ago, I took an on-line class through Chameleon Pens and was able to download a few exciting Mandala patterns. Recently I received one of their newest (soon to be released) lines -- a set of 25 - 2 toned pencils. Actually 50 colors that blend so smoothly. Well, I just had to give them a workout. Actually I only used about half of these beautiful colors. If you are into pencil art, you may want to watch for this series.

It was exciting and refreshing to do something a little different for a change. I love the chance to try new products and go in a different creative direction.

Wonder what Celtic Knots would look like? Hummmmmmm!

Thank you so much for looking in today. Hope your creative ideas are flowing and you have a blessed day.

Till next time,
Barb
