Card size - A2
The 13th my was sister-in-laws exciting 60th birthday. She really is a treasure and I wanted her card to be as special as she is. We are hoping this year will bring her much joy.
For this card, I am using a few of my favored products. The papers are from Neeham's StarDream collection, Punch (a beautiful purple with pink highlights) and Crystal pearlescent card stock.
The flower is again Susan's Garden's - Rose, die cut out of the Crystal. To match the color of the Punch, I used Chameleon Pen's Purple Grape (PR4) on the petals. The way these pens work is just amazing. If you have not seen the demo, go on line www.chameleonpens.com. When using specialty papers like the pearlescents, the color of the ink is a little different than on a smooth cardstock so I always have a scape handy for testing. I like the textured look this combination acquires. I really love creating these flowers. I use a variety of shaping tools and a fast drying glue to hold the petals in an upward position. (This rose was almost 1 1/4" in height.)
For the center a used Lemon Chiffon Prills. The leaves are a Batik, fiber-type paper called Earth Olive and die cut using Heartfelt Creations Classic Leaf.
The beautiful background gate is Majestic Medallion from Our Daily Bread Designs. I love the richness it offers for most any type of occasion. I have used it for not just birthdays, but also for a few Sympathy Cards.
During the last several days, I have made 3 more exciting birthday cards. For the rest of February and the first week in March, there are 7 more celebrations to get cards ready for. Think I will busy.
What are your upcoming projects? Are you going to try something new? Sure hope you are enjoying your crafting time as much as I am.
Thank you for stopping by.
May God continue to watch over you,
