By the Sea

As a youngster, I always loved the sound of the ocean with the waves breaking at the shoreline. The rhythm as each wave broke and came rushing in was magical to my young ears. The added songs of the various ocean birds gave me the feeling that this was God’s perfect gift. Oh, how I miss the Sea.

Our Daily Bread Design’s, The Sea (#E350), brought back that enchanted feeling. I could almost feel the mist as I colored in the breaking waves.

I wanted to create a card that a gentleman would appreciate, so I selected both a lighter and darker shade of brown for the layers and frame. The picture and the card base are on a white, slightly textured paper.

Where is your favorite place? Have you captured it in or on a card to share with a friend?

Well, I think I will dream about that old N.C. beach tonight. I can almost hear the waves.

Till next time,
Happy creating!

  1. Great scene; think I might have this stamp, too, or part of it.

  2. ODB has several sea theme stamps. All great. This one lends itself to so many different finishs, that is why
I like it. Did a partical of the scene on the inside.
